The Patient Chart includes several toolbars to provide easy access to the charting tools. You can customize the Patient Chart to fit the needs of each user by hiding or repositioning the toolbars and adding or removing their buttons. You can also modify a toolbar's icons, or you can create a custom toolbar.
The following Patient Chart toolbars are available to you:

You can use the Dentrix modules toolbar to open other Dentrix modules.

Provides links to supported third-party X-ray and imaging systems you've installed on your computer; if none are installed, clicking this button displays a list of third-party digital X-ray and imaging systems that you can use with Dentrix. |

Quick Letters |
Combine data from your Dentrix database with the word processing abilities of Microsoft Word to help you quickly create a letter for a single patient. |

Quick Labels |
Quickly print a variety of labels for a selected patient. |

Continuing Care |
Continuing Care provides a flexible way to monitor your patients’ pending dental care and communicate information and reminders easily and effectively with groups of patients. |

Send Message |
Use the Send Message feature to create and send e- mail messages to patients in your Dentrix database. |

Questionnaires |
Questionnaires helps your office go paperless by electronically gathering and storing the same patient information that is included on new patient forms, health history updates, and other paper forms used in your office. A red check mark in the icon indicates that the patient has filled out a questionnaire. |

Health History |
With Health History, you can assign medical conditions and allergies to selected patients. |
|
Prescriptions |
The Prescriptions module is designed to help you quickly create prescriptions and accurately track medicines prescribed to your patients. If a prescription bottle appears in the icon, the patient has a prescription. |

Office Journal |
Like a journal of your daily activities, the Office Journal has two main functions: to keep a record of past events and to remind you of events in the future. |

Document Center |
The Document Center allows your office to become paperless by scanning, capturing, and importing many types of documents, such as patient letters, EOBs (explanation of benefits), and referral letters or images (such as patient pictures and X-rays). These documents can be attached to patients, providers, insurance carriers, and referral sources. If papers appear in the lower drawer of the icon, the patient has documents saved to the Document Center. |

Treatment Manager |
The Treatment Manager gives you access to vital patient information, including treatment-planned work, balance, payment information, Office Journal entries, insurance information, and so forth. |

Lab Case Manager |
The Lab Case Manager is directly linked to the Appointment Book and allows you to create a case for the patient, ship it to the lab, and track its progress. |
|
DDX |
Send your lab cases to labs and exchange digital information with them using Digital Dental Exchange (DDX), an online network of dental practices, labs, and third-party technologies. |

eDex |
Manage and quickly search lists of patients (active, inactive, or archived), employers, insurance carriers, labs, non-patients, providers, staff, referrals, and other contact you may want to remember. You can also create custom contacts and contact categories to filter the Contacts List or even locate a patient's next appointment. |

Opens the Dentrix Marketplace website from which you can purchase many products to enhance and expand your Dentrix platform. |

Signature Manager |
Click to open the Signature Manager from which you can view clinical notes and the signed status of those notes. |

You can use the Patient Information toolbar to see information associated with your patients in the Dentrix database.

Using the Chart Module toolbar, you can open the Perio Chart or Treatment Planner, change the work view of the Patient Chart, make notations, print a patient's chart, paint teeth and their surfaces, and open the Dentrix Presenter.

The Progress Notes panel makes it easy to quickly review a patient’s chart. Using this toolbar, you can update the chart as necessary so that the patient's clinical record is always accurate.
