Modifying the model view

Dentrix includes two 3-D charting views: the arch view and the model view. By modifying these views you can provide your patients with accurate representations of their mouths and help them understand and see conditions and treatments in a 3-D model.

The model view provides a 3-D representation of a patient's mouth. You can treatment-plan and complete procedures in the model view.

Note: In the model view, you cannot select teeth graphically  the same way you do in the work chart or charting view of the Patient Chart window. To treatment plan, you need to use the Treatment Plan button on the toolbar.

To modify the model view

1.   Select a patient.

2.   In the Patient Chart, click View, point to Graphic Chart, and then click Model View.

The Graphic Chart appears in the model view.

3.   To open or close the mouth in the model view, click the Open Mouth or Close Mouth button.

4.   To display or hide the gums in the model view, click the Hide Gums or Show Gums button.

5.   To move or rotate the image of the mouth, drag the image to the position you want.
