The Document Center toolbars
You can choose from several different toolbars while you are working in the Document Center:
· The Dentrix Modules toolbar displays buttons for each of the Dentrix modules.
· The Patient Information toolbar displays buttons specific to patient information.
· The Acquire toolbar displays buttons used to acquire a variety of documents from devices such as scanners and digital cameras. You can also import documents from files stored on your computer or attach an image or text as a document using the Clipboard.
· The Document toolbar displays buttons to print, send, export, view, sign, modify, or delete documents.
· The Unfiled Documents toolbar displays buttons to acquire documents from devices, import documents, capture screen images, combine documents, and delete documents.
· The View toolbar displays buttons to view documents by patient, family, provider or staff,employers, insurance carriers, and referral sources. You can also apply filters to view documents acquired within a certain date range and assigned to a certain document type.
· The Preview toolbar displays buttons that you can use in the Document Preview pane to page through a multi-page document.
· The Modify Document toolbar displays buttons you can use to adjust and save the image document.
To display or remove a toolbar
In Treatment Planner, click View, point to Toolbars, and then click the toolbar that you want to display or remove. A check mark next to a toolbar name indicates that the toolbar is being displayed.

Ledger |
Click to enter payments, file claims, print statements, set up financial agreements, and more. |

Click to easily manage your patient appointments. |

Office Manager |
Click to use several tools and reports to evaluate and improve the management processes of your practice. |

DXWeb |
The DXWeb toolbar works in conjunction with eCentral to provide you with the tools necessary to connect your Dentrix software to the internet. |

DentriXlink
|
Click to provide links to supported third-party X-ray and imaging systems you've installed on your computer; if none are installed, clicking this button displays a list of third-party digital X-ray and imaging systems that you can use with Dentrix. |

Quick Letters |
Click to combine data from your Dentrix database with the word processing abilities of Microsoft Word to help you quickly create a letter for a single patient. |

Quick Labels |
Click to quickly print a variety of labels for the selected patient. |
|
Continuing Care |
Click to monitor your patients’ pending dental care and communicate information and reminders easily and effectively with groups of patients. |
|
Send Message |
Click to create and send e- mail messages to patients in your Dentrix database. |
|
Questionnaires |
Click to help your office go paperless by electronically gathering and storing the same patient information that is included on new patient forms, health history updates, and other paper forms used in your office. A red check mark in the icon indicates that the patient has filled out a questionnaire. |

Health History |
Click to assign medical conditions and allergies to selected patients and keep a record of their health and treatments. |
|
Prescriptions |
Click to quickly create prescriptions and accurately track medicines prescribed to your patients. If a prescription bottle appears in the icon, the patient has a prescription. |

Office Journal |
Click to keep a record of past events and to set reminders for future events. |
|
Treatment Manager |
Click to access vital patient information, including treatment-planned work, balance, payment information, Office Journal entries, insurance information, and so on. |
|
eDex |
Click to manage and quickly search lists of patients (active, inactive, or archived), employers, insurance carriers, labs, non-patients, providers, staff, referrals, and other contact you may want to remember. You can also create custom contacts and contact categories to filter the Contacts List or even locate a patient's next appointment. |
|
Click to open the Dentrix Marketplace website from which you can purchase many products to enhance and expand your Dentrix platform. |

Click to designate a folder to automatically save scanned documents to regardless of the type of device you used to scan the document. |

Click to acquire large documents and images and add them to the Document Center as unfiled documents. You can use this feature to acquire single documents but is intended to acquire batches of documents to be completed later. This feature is helpful for importing multi-page picture documents. |

Modify Document toolbar
You can alter the appearance of image documents from the Document Preview pane using the Modify Document toolbar. Only image documents can be altered using the Modify Document toolbar. To display the image document, click the Show Preview button on the View toolbar.
To modify an image document
From the Document Center, in the Edit menu, click Modify Document.
The Modify Document toolbar appears in the Document Preview pane.
