eClaims User's Guide

With eClaims (also known as eTrans), the electronic claim (e-claim) service provided by Henry Schein One, you can submit insurance claims electronically. Using eClaims simplifies the complex, time-consuming task of sending insurance claims.

By sending claims electronically, insurance claims get resolved faster, so you get paid faster (because the insurance company receives claims quickly, sometimes even immediately) and have more time to interact with your patients. Using eClaims saves time, materials, and postage, significantly reducing the cost of sending claims. Additionally, if a payor does not accept electronic claims, or if some claims cannot be sent electronically, the clearinghouse will print them and mail them for you, so you can send all your claims electronically.

Prerequisites

You must have Dentrix Enterprise 4.0 with CU3 or later installed.

You must have an Internet connection.

You must enroll in eClaims by doing the following:

Obtain a registration form from eServices Sales (800.734.5561, option 2), and complete the registration form.

Send the completed registration form to eServices Sales (for details, call 800.734.5561, option 2).

Some insurance payors require special enrollment forms to be completed before they will accept claims electronically from your office. A list of these payors, special enrollment forms, and instructions for completion and processing these forms are available online at https://www.dentrixenterprise.com/products/addons/eclaims/payor-search-tool. Contact the eServices Enrollment department for more information about these forms or to receive additional special enrollment forms.

Notes:

Instructions for completing and processing the forms are also outlined on the front page of each special enrollment packet.

Until confirmation is received from the insurance company, claims submitted electronically to that insurance company will be rejected or printed, depending on the carrier.
