The eServices department assigns electronic payor numbers to the insurance providers that will receive electronic claims from your office. These numbers, called payor ID numbers, act like addresses that direct the electronic claims to the correct insurance companies. The eServices department maintains a complete list of payor ID numbers, which is available at https://www.dentrixenterprise.com/products/addons/eclaims/payor-search-tool. If you have not used eClaims before, payor IDs might not be entered for the insurance plans in Dentrix Enterprise, but a payor ID is required to send electronic claims to the payor for an insurance plan.
To update the payor ID for an insurance plan
Do one of the following:
With a patient selected in Family File, double-click the Insurance Information block. In the Insurance Information dialog box, select a carrier in the Coverage Order list, and then click Insurance Data.
In Office Manager, on the Maintenance menu, point to Reference, and then click Insurance Maintenance. In the Insurance Maintenance dialog box, search for an insurance plan, select it, and then click Ins Data.
The Dental Insurance Plan Information dialog box appears.

Notes:
If the correct payor ID is not available for selection, you can enter that number directly into the Payor ID box.
If you do not know and cannot find the correct payor ID, enter 06126 in the Payor ID box.
Do not contact insurance companies to get the payor IDs; the payor IDs are assigned by the clearinghouse.
