One way to customize Dentrix Enterprise to meet the needs of your organization for generating National Patient Information Reporting System (NPIRS) reports is by adding and editing IHS standard codes definitions.
Note: This feature is intended for IHS facilities only.
To customize the definitions of an IHS standard code definition type
In Office Manager, expand the Maintenance menu, point to Practice Setup, and then click IHS Standard Codes Definitions.
The IHS Standard Codes Definitions dialog box appears.
In the Definition Type list, select one of the following options:

Inpatient Diagnostic Codes (SCS) |
Add, edit, and delete the corresponding definitions as needed.
