You can customize the codes for provider types as needed.
To customize Type of Provider
In the IHS Standard Codes Definitions dialog box, in the Definition Type list, select Type of Provider (SCB).
The corresponding definitions appear in the list to the right.
Do any of the following:
To add a definition, do the following:
With any definition selected, under Definition Text, replace the existing code in the Code box (which can be up to seven characters in length) and the existing text in the Description box (which can be up to 100 characters in length).
Click Add.
To edit a definition, do the following:
Select a definition.
Under Definition Text, replace the existing code in the Code box (which can be up to seven characters in length) and/or the existing text in the Description box (which can be up to 100 characters in length).
Click Change.
To delete a definition, do the following:
Select a definition.
Click Delete.
A confirmation message appears.
Click Yes.
