You can customize community codes as needed.
To customize Community
In the IHS Standard Codes Definitions dialog box, in the Definition Type list, select Community (SCB).
The corresponding definitions appear in the list to the right.
Do any of the following:
To add a definition, do the following:
Verify that the desired definition does not already exist.
Click Add.
The Community Standard Code Book dialog box appears.
Set up the following options:
Code - The community's code (up to seven characters in length).
Community - The community's description (up to 100 characters in length).
State 2 char Abbr - The state abbreviation of the community (up to two characters in length).
County - The community's county (up to 200 characters in length).
Click OK.
Note: The new definition appears in the list alphabetically by community.
To edit a definition, do the following:
Select a definition.
Click Edit.
The Community Standard Code Book dialog box appears.
Change any of the following options as needed:
Code - The community's code (up to seven characters in length).
Community - The community's description (up to 100 characters in length).
State 2 char Abbr - The state abbreviation of the community (up to two characters in length).
County - The community's county (up to 200 characters in length).
Click OK.
To delete a definition, do the following:
Select a definition.
Click Delete.
A confirmation message appears.
Click Yes.
