You can customize area codes as needed.
To customize Area
In the IHS Standard Codes Definitions dialog box, in the Definition Type list, select Area (SCB).
The corresponding definitions appear in the list to the right.
Do any of the following:
To add a definition, do the following:
Verify that the desired definition does not already exist.
Click Add.
The Area Standard Code Book dialog box appears.
Set up the following options:
Code - The area's code (up to seven characters in length).
Area - The area's description (up to 100 characters in length).
Region Abbr Code - The area's abbreviated region code (up to four characters in length).
ITU Code - The area's ITU code (up to four characters in length).
Click OK.
Note: The new definition appears in the list alphabetically by area.
To edit a definition, do the following:
Select a definition.
Click Edit.
The Area Standard Code Book dialog box appears.
Change any of the following options as needed:
Code - The area's code (up to seven characters in length).
Area - The area's description (up to 100 characters in length).
Region Abbr Code - The area's abbreviated region code (up to four characters in length).
ITU Code - The area's ITU code (up to four characters in length).
Click OK.
To delete a definition, do the following:
Select a definition.
Click Delete.
A confirmation message appears.
Click Yes.
