Using Office Manager toolbar

The toolbar contains several buttons that you can click to access certain areas or features of Dentrix Enterprise.

Note: You can customize the toolbar to display, hide, or reposition buttons.

The function of each button on the toolbar is explained in the following table.

Patient Chart

Click to enter and manage a patient's clinical information.

Family File

Click to enter or manage a patient's demographic, contact, or insurance information.

Ledger

Click to enter or manage a patient's financial transactions.

Appointment Book

Click to schedule appointments and perform appointment-related tasks.

DentriXlink

Click to open a third-party program, such as a digital X-ray program, that has been installed and set up to work with Dentrix Enterprise.

Office Journal

Click to enter or manage communications with a patient, provider, or staff member.

Document Center

Click to attach or manage important documents, pictures, and letters.

More Information

Click to select a patient and open the More Information window for that patient.

Updox Application

Click to open the Updox Secure Messaging Application window to manage your secure messages.

Continuing Care

Click to track and manage your patients' on-going dental care.

ePrescribe Task Mode

Click to open the ePrescribe window to run reports about your electronic prescriptions, to access tools and resources to help you with electronic prescriptions, to manage your AllScripts account settings and preferences, and to review your electronic prescriptions.

Patient Health Exchange Inbox

Click to open the Patient Health Exchange Inbox dialog box to handle DIRECT messages that have been received.

Electronic Billing Submission

With a billing statement and/or a batch of billing statements selected, click to send the statements to a clearinghouse to have them mailed for you.

Electronic Claim Submission

Click to open the Electronic Claims Submission dialog box to submit dental and/or medical insurance claims electronically.

Create Batch Primary Ins Claims

Click to open the Create Batch Primary Insurance Claims dialog box to generate multiple claims for procedures posted within a specified date range

Print Preview

Click to open the Dentrix Print Preview window to display the reports that are selected in the Batch Processor.

Print Report(s)

Click to send the reports that are selected in the Batch Processor to the default printer for Office Manager.

Delete Report(s)

Click to open the Delete Options dialog box to delete all or certain reports.

Refresh/Clear Selection

Click to deselect any reports that are selected in the Batch Processor.

Day Sheet Report

Click to open the Day Sheet dialog box to generate a day sheet.

Note: You can also generate the day sheet by expanding the Reports menu, pointing to Management, and then clicking Day Sheet (Charges and Receipts).

Referral Analysis

Click to open the Referral Analysis dialog box to monitor referrals or enter gratuities.

Collections Manager

Click to view and manage collections information and to contact patients.

Medical History Review

Click to select a patient and open the Medical History Review dialog box to do the following: view the patient’s medical alerts, medications, and allergies; specify if there has been a change in any of those since the patient’s last visit; specify the patient’s pain level (according to the selected scale), and enter notes to describe the pain; change the patient's smoking status; and/or specify if you have reviewed the patient's medical alerts.

Note: This button is available only if a certain global setting is enabled.

Click to open DXOne Reporting to generate and manage reports.

Secure Messenger

Click to open Messenger to send instant messages to other users.

Treatment Request Manager

Click to open Treatment Request Manager to manage treatment requests.

Scheduling Assistant

Click to open Scheduling Assistant, which can help enhance your scheduling workflow.

Signature Manager

Click to open Signature Manager to sign multiple clinical notes at one time.

Suspended Credits Manager

Click to open Suspended Credits Manager, which provides centralized management of suspended credits for all patients' accounts.

Family Balance Manager

Click to open Family Balance Manager, which allows you to identify accounts with credit and charge balances and then post write-offs on those accounts at the same time.

Outstanding Claim Manager

Click to open Outstanding Claim Manager, which allows you to identify unpaid claims and close them by posting zero payments and write-offs.

Dynamic Reporting Interface

Click to open Dynamic Reporting to view an interactive, dynamic reporting dashboard.

Log Off

Click to close all open independent and dependent windows.
