Dynamic Reporting overview

An interactive, dynamic reporting dashboard is available. Dynamic Reporting is a dependent module, which means you can open it only from another module. If Dynamic Reporting is open when you close Office Manager, Dynamic Reporting closes also.

Notes:

A global setting controls the availability of Dynamic Reporting.

Accessing Dynamic Reporting requires the "Dynamic Reporting Interface, Open" security right (in the "Office Manager" category).

Exporting data from Dynamic Reporting requires the "Dynamic Reporting Interface, Export Report" security right.

On each client computer that connects to the Dentrix Enterprise database, in the SQL Server Configuration Manager, TCP/IP must be enabled, and the alias for Dentrix must use that protocol.

To open Dynamic Reporting

In Office Manager, do one of the following:

Click the Dynamic Reporting Interface button on the toolbar .

On the File menu, click Dynamic Reporting Interface.

If applicable, do one of the following:

If the Password - Dynamic Reporting Interface, Open dialog box appears, user verification has been assigned to the "Dynamic Reporting Interface, Open" task. Do one of the following:

If your user account has been granted the "Dynamic Reporting Interface, Open" security right, enter your credentials in the User ID and Password boxes, and then click OK.

If your user account has not been granted the "Dynamic Reporting Interface, Open" security right, have a user with permission temporarily override this restriction so you can access Dynamic Reporting this one time. The overriding user enters his or her credentials in the User ID and Password boxes and then clicks OK.

If a message appears, informing you that you do not have rights to this operation, your user account has not been granted the "Dynamic Reporting Interface, Open" security right. To have a user with permission temporarily override this restriction so you can access Dynamic Reporting this one time, do the following:

On the message, click Yes.

In the Password - Dynamic Reporting Interface, Open dialog box, the overriding user enters his or her credentials in the User ID and Password boxes and then clicks OK.

Dynamic Reporting opens.

In this window, you can do the following:

Use the navigation bar on the left to navigate to each page of the dashboard: Resources, Services, RVU, Patient Visits, and Level of Care (available for IHS facilities only).

Turn on setup mode to show, hide, resize, and arrange information on each page of the dashboard.

In view mode, filter the information on each page of the dashboard.
