Clinic Resource Setup overview

You can access the Clinic Resource Setup for any clinic or for the clinic that you are logged in to. In the Clinic Resource Setup, you can manage clinic, operatory, provider, staff member, ePrescribe, Patient Portal, Outcome, Meaningful Use, and Messenger settings.

To manage a clinic's resources

Do one of the following:

For the clinic that you are logged in to - To access the Clinic Resource Setup for the clinic that you are logged in to, in Office Manager, expand the Maintenance menu, point to Practice Setup, and then click Clinic Resource Setup.

For any clinic (while logged in to the Central clinic) - To access the Clinic Resource Setup for the Central clinic or any other clinic, in the Enterprise Setup dialog box, select a clinic, and then click Clinic Resource Setup.

Notes:

To open the Enterprise Setup dialog box, you must be logged in to the Central clinic.

Accessing the Enterprise Setup requires the "Clinic Admin" security right.

The Clinic Resource Setup dialog box appears.

Perform any of the following tasks:

View and change clinic information.

Add and edit the clinic's operatories.

Add, edit, and inactivate or reactivate the clinic's providers.

Notes:

To include inactive providers in the Provider(s) list, select the List Inactive (i) checkbox.

To list providers who use Active Directory authentication to log in to Dentrix Enterprise, select the Show AD Auth Users checkbox.

To list providers who use SQL authentication to log in to Dentrix Enterprise, select the Show SQL Auth Users checkbox.

Change or delete log-on IDs for the clinic's providers.

Add, edit, and inactivate or reactivate the clinic's staff.

Notes:

To include inactive staff in the Staff list, select the List Inactive (i) checkbox.

To list staff who use Active Directory authentication to log in to Dentrix Enterprise, select the Show AD Auth Users checkbox.

To list staff who use SQL authentication to log in to Dentrix Enterprise, select the Show SQL Auth Users checkbox.

Change or delete log-on IDs for the clinic's staff.

Set up security rights for Dentrix Enterprise users.

Note: The Security Rights Setup button is not available if you access the Clinic Resource Setup dialog box from the Enterprise Setup dialog box.

Set up clinics and users for ePrescribe.

Edit, enable, and disable ePrescribe user accounts.

Verify the organization's Updox account for DIRECT messaging (Central clinic only).

Link providers and staff to Updox (Central clinic only).

Edit, activate, or inactivate Updox user accounts (Central clinic only).

Set up Messenger (Central clinic only).
