Control Panel overview

The Control Panel panel is available at all times while viewing the Patient Information Center. You can hide, show, and resize the panel to suit your preferences.

Do any of the following to customize the panel:

· To un-pin the panel (so that it is hidden until you position your pointer over or click the Control Panel button), click the down-facing pin .

· To pin the panel (so that it is always being shown in the Patient Information Center), click the side-facing pin .

· To resize the width of the panel, position your pointer over the left edge of the panel until the cursor changes to a double arrow , and then drag the edge of the panel to increase or reduce the width as desired.

The panel consists of the following sections for performing common tasks and accessing certain features:

· Clinical - This section includes options for opening the EHR, EHR narratives, the Document Center, the Implant Tracking module, and iConfident.

· Radiography - This section includes options for opening a third-party digital radiography program that has been bridged with OMSVision.

· Transactions - This section includes options for posting billing charges, payments, adjustments, other; and getting quick answers.

· Actions - This section includes options for printing routing slips, the Patient Status Report, Labels, Envelopes, and Quick statements; deleting a patient; attaching , completing, and updating medical history forms and surveys; working on the General, Insurance, Appointments, Financial, Treatment Plans, and Ledger tabs (using the same options as right-clicking an area on those tabs); using the internal word processor; viewing case notes and consolidated notes; running the Reorganize utility; and viewing the Post-op call list.

To show or hide a section as needed, click the expand or collapse buttons (or click the title bar of that section).
