Dental tab
On the Dental tab in the Subjective - Record section of EHR, you can record the patient's dental treatment history as it pertains to a case.
To add or edit dental history
1. With a case selected, on the Dental tab, do one of the following:
· To add an entry, click New.
· To edit an existing entry, select an entry, and then click View.
The Edit Dental History dialog box appears with the created date at the top.
2. Set up the following options:
· Treatment was - Type a number, and select Days, Weeks, Months, or Years from the list to specify how long ago the treatment was done.
· Treatment Details
· General Area - Select the general area of the treatment. Click the Remove button to clear any previous selection.
Tip: To specify which items you want to include in the list, click the Open link. Click the Add Item button to add a new item. Clear a check box to delete the corresponding item (if you try to delete an item that is in use, a message appears and asks if you want to inactivate the item instead). Click Exit.
· Specific Area/Tth - Type the specific area that was treated (for example, the tooth number).
· Tx Type - Select the treatment type. Click the Remove button to clear any previous selection.
Tip: To specify which items you want to include in the list, click the Open link. Click the Add Item button to add a new item. Clear a check box to delete the corresponding item (if you try to delete an item that is in use, a message appears and asks if you want to inactivate the item instead). Click Exit.
· Comments - Type any comments regarding the dental history.
3. Click OK.
To delete dental history
1. With a case selected, on the Dental tab, select the entry that you want to delete. You cannot delete dental history that is part of a locked case (a case that was reviewed or a case that was locked automatically).
2. Click Delete. This option is available only if a dental history entry is selected or the selected entry is not locked.
A confirmation message appears.
3. Click Yes.
