Populating C-CDA files

The information on a C-CDA (Consolidated-Clinical Document Architecture) file contains a summary of a patient's clinical information from various areas of Dentrix Enterprise.

For each of the following types of information, a brief explanation of where that information comes from in Dentrix Enterprise is provided:

Vital Signs - Vital signs entered as a patient health assessment from Chart.

Plan Of Care:

Treatment-planned procedures in Chart and Treatment Planner.

Patient goals entered from Chart.

Procedures:

Completed dental procedures in Chart and Ledger.

Medical encounters (for medical and other procedures) entered from Chart.

Immunizations - Immunizations entered from Family File

Problems - Problems entered in Medical Alerts.

Reason For Visit - Appointment reason entered for an appointment in Appointment Book.

Allergies, Adverse Reactions, Alerts - Allergies entered in Medical Alerts.

Medications - Medications entered in Medical Alerts, and prescriptions entered in Patient Prescription.

Medications Administered:

Medications entered in Medical Alerts, with the Drug administered during visit only checkbox selected.

Prescriptions entered in Patient Prescription, with the Drug administered during visit only checkbox selected.

Instructions - Notes entered (including the URL that gets added to the notes automatically) for a patient education topic that was marked as recorded.

Social History - The smoking status selected in Medical Alerts or during a medical history review.

Results - Results of laboratory orders from Chart.

Goals Section - Patient goals entered from Chart.
