Obtaining a Merchant Account & Credentials to Enable Dentrix Pay

Because your practice will be the "merchant" that initiates the process for credit card transactions, you must have a Worldpay merchant account. But before you can use it, you must complete several steps (in Key Information below), such as submitting a merchant application and creating your own "My IQ Merchant Portal login."

Key Information

The following is a simplified process for obtaining a merchant account and the credentials needed to enable Dentrix Pay. (If you need help with this process, call Dentrix Support at 1-800-336-8749.)

  1. To confirm that your version of Dentrix is compatible with Dentrix Pay, you must first talk with a Henry Schein One Sales Representative. (If you haven't already done so, call 1-800-336-8749.) Once confirmed, they will refer you to Worldpay.
  2. Worldpay will then ask you to submit a "merchant application." Once your application is approved, they will send you a welcome letter with your unique Merchant ID number and an invitation to create your "My IQ" resource portal.
  3. To gain access to your MY IQ portal, you must first create a login for it by following these steps:
    1. Browse to the Worldpay IQ Merchant Portal.
    2. Under FAQ, click Create New ID (Merchant Users Only).
    3. To register, enter the following information and then click the Submit button:
      • An email address (and confirmation) that you want to be associated with your My IQ portal.
      • Your Tax ID Number, which you provided on your Worldpay merchant application.
      • Your Merchant ID Number, which Worldpay assigned you in their welcome letter.
  1. After registering, you'll receive an email inviting you to create your own "MY IQ resource portal" so you can access it when needed. Use the link contained in the email to complete the account creation process by submitting a Username, Password, and security question answers. (This resource portal will also have information about your merchant account, such as patient billings, payments, and histories.)
  2. Once your MY IQ portal account is created, you can use your Username and Password (and sometimes your security question answers) to access your portal. Keep them safe but accessible. Unfortunately, Henry Schein One does not have this information; therefore, HSO cannot provide it if you lose it. However, HSO does have your Merchant ID if and when you need it. (For convenience, create a "bookmark" to your My IQ portal in your web browser so you can access it quickly.)
  3. This step is essential to activate Dentrix Pay! Once in the portal, you must obtain three Worldpay merchant credentials to enable Dentrix Pay to work with Dentrix. They are an Account Token, an Acceptor ID (your Merchant ID), and an Account ID. All three must be entered into their respective fields in Dentrix Pay Setup. To obtain them, click Self Service (twice), then choose the option, Processing Credentials. Next, write down the credentials and use them to enable Dentrix Pay, as discussed in the quick start section, Enabling Dentrix Pay.
