Updating office visit fees
You can update the office visit fee (sometimes referred to as a co-pay) for all codes in the Estimator table attached to an insurance profile without having to edit the amount for each procedure code in every insurance profile one at a time.
To help automate the updating of office visit fees from the Estimates - Estimator tab of the Edit Insurance Profile dialog box, set up the following options:
· Office Visit – Enter the dollar amount of the office visit fee that will override all of the office visit fees for the procedure codes in the Estimator table attached to this insurance company’s profile after all the necessary procedures in the fee schedules have been flagged as office visit procedures.
· Update office visit amounts to estimator table? – To apply the specified Office Visit fee to all of the procedures in the Estimator table that is attached to this insurance profile, select this check box. The amount of the Office Visit will override, not be added to, any existing office visit fees in the Estimator table. If a patient is treated more than one time during the course of a day, the patient will be charged for only one office visit that day.
