Deleting a patient

You can delete any active patient that does not have a balance and does not have progress notes, locked EHR narratives, EHR cases.  

Note: If the patient has a balance, the Delete option is disabled.

When you delete a patient record, all records associated with the patient are permanently deleted, except for transactions.

To delete a patient

1.   In a patient’s Patient Information Center, on the Control Panel, under Actions, from the Change menu, click Delete Patient.

A confirmation message appears.

2.   Click Yes to permanently remove the patient from the database, along with that patient's insurance, appointments, notes, and so forth.
