Setting up "Auto-Select" for codes

You can set the Code of a shortcut to "Auto Select" to allow ClinicalVision to determine the correct code to use based on which teeth or surfaces are selected. For example, you can create one "completed amalgam restoration" shortcut to handle all of the completed amalgam restorations. ClinicalVision will automatically select the one-surface code when one surface is clicked and change to the two-surface code when a second surface is clicked.

Notes:

·        When charting, any change in the code being used is reflected in the Chart History.

·        The "Auto-Select" feature can be affected not only by selected surfaces but by selected endodontic areas.

·        This feature cannot be used with miscellaneous types (a secondary procedure attached to a primary shortcut), a connecting bar, or existing conditions or treatment.
