Working with a patient's charting history

In addition to viewing a patient's charting history on the graphical chart, you can view a patient's charting history by type (existing, planned, and/or completed) in the Chart History section. If the Chart History section is not visible, click View on the Task pane to open the Chart History section.

Each transaction in the charting history provides the following information:

·        Note - If a note is attached to a transaction, a note symbol appears. To view the note, position the pointer over the note symbol.

·        Warning - If there is a problem with a procedure, such as an invalid material, a warning symbol appears. To view the warning, position the pointer over the note symbol.

·        Date - The date the treatment or condition was posted.

·        Provider - The posting provider's initials. To view the provider's full name, position the pointer over the provider's initials.

·        Status

·        EX - Existing treatment.

·        CO - Completed treatment.

·        P[#] - Planned treatment (the assigned plan number is displayed).

·        Code - The ADA code or shortcut name for the transaction.

·        Tooth - The tooth/teeth associated with the transaction.

·        Surface - The surfaces associated with the transaction.

·        Description - The ADA code description or shortcut description for the transaction.

·        Amount - The dollar value of the transaction.
