When viewing claims that have been rejected (either in EDS or by the payer), after you've read the claim if you decide you want to correct the errors in Eaglesoft and resubmit the claim from there, you can mark it as "Read" in EDS so it disappears from the list at the end of the day. You can mark a single claim as "Read," or you can mark multiple claims as "Read" as a single batch action.
Note: Alternatively, you can edit the claim in EDS, correct the mistake(s) in EDS, and have EDS resubmit the claim. This method, however, will not update any data in Eaglesoft.
To mark a single claim as read
1. From the Manage Claims tab, click the Location list, and select the Location whose claims you want to see.
2. Under Rejections with either EDS or Payer selected, right-click the claim you want to mark as "Read" and click Mark as Read.
3. At the confirmation prompt, click Yes.
4. After EDS finishes marking the claim as "Read," click OK.
Note: If the list doesn't update immediately, click Load.
To mark multiple claims as read
1. From the Manage Claims tab, click the Location list, and select the Location whose claims you want to see.
2. Under Rejections with either EDS or Payer selected, select the check boxes on the left for any claims you want to mark as "Read" and click Mark as Read.
3. At the confirmation prompt, click Yes.
4. After EDS finishes marking the claims as "Read," click OK.
Note: If the list doesn't update immediately, click Load.
