Editing claims in EDS   

From the Manage Claims tab, you can edit any claims listed, such as those that were rejected (either by EDS or by the payer) to correct any mistakes in EDS and then have EDS resend them. This method, however, will not update any data in Eaglesoft.

Note: Alternatively, you can mark the claim as "Read," correct the mistake(s) in Eaglesoft, and then resubmit the claim from Eaglesoft .

To edit a claim in EDS

1.   From the Manage Claims tab, click the Location list, and select the Location whose claims you want to see.

2.   Click Load.

3.   Under Claims At EDS or Rejections, select the type of claim you want to edit.

4.   Right-click the claim you want to edit, and from the shortcut menu, click Edit Claim.

5.   Clicking each topic tab on the left in turn, make any needed changes to the claim information.

6.   When finished, click Save Claim.

Your changes are updated in the current claim, and the claim is re-evaluated to determine if any other corrections are needed.
