Unlinking alternate cases

Several cases can be linked together; however, if a cases are not supposed to be alternate treatment plans or you do not want the cases linked for some other reason, you can unlink them.

Note: Unlinking alternate treatment plan cases requires theĀ "Treatment Plan, Edit" security right.

To unlink an alternate case

In Treatment Planner, in the Treatment Plan Case Setup section on the Navigation panel, right-click a case that you want to unlink, and then click Unlink Selected Case.

Notes:

If a case is linked, it will have a link icon ( or ) after its name.

The Unlink Selected Case option is available only if the case is linked to an alternate case.

If applicable, do one of the following:

If the Password - Treatment Plan, Edit dialog box appears, user verification has been assigned to the "Treatment Plan, Edit" task. Do one of the following:

If your user account has been granted the "Treatment Plan, Edit" security right, enter your credentials in the User ID and Password boxes, and then click OK.

If your user account has not been granted the "Treatment Plan, Edit" security right, have a user with permission temporarily override this restriction so you can unlink an alternate treatment plan case this one time. The overriding user enters his or her credentials in the User ID and Password boxes and then clicks OK.
