Setting the recommended case

The recommended case is the case that contains the recommended treatment plan. The recommended case can be changed after alternate cases have been created.

Note: Viewing linked treatment plan cases to set the recommended case requires theĀ "Treatment Plan, Edit" security right.

To set the recommended case

In Treatment Planner, in the Treatment Plan Case Setup section on the Navigation panel, do one of the following:

Right-click the case that you want to set as the recommended case, and then click Set as Recommended Case.

Note: This option is available only if the case is linked to an alternate case.

To view linked treatment plan cases and then set the recommended case, do the following:

Right-click one of the linked cases that is not the recommended case, and then click Link Alternate Cases.

Note: If a case is linked but is not the recommended case, it will have a link icon without a star after its name. (A link icon with a star indicates that a linked case is the recommended case.)

If applicable, do one of the following:

If the Password - Treatment Plan, Edit dialog box appears, user verification has been assigned to the "Treatment Plan, Edit" task. Do one of the following:

If your user account has been granted the "Treatment Plan, Edit" security right, enter your credentials in the User ID and Password boxes, and then click OK.

If your user account has not been granted the "Treatment Plan, Edit" security right, have a user with permission temporarily override this restriction so you can unlink treatment plan cases this one time. The overriding user enters his or her credentials in the User ID and Password boxes and then clicks OK.

If a message appears, informing you that you do not have rights to this operation, your user account has not been granted the "Treatment Plan, Edit" security right. To have a user with permission temporarily override this restriction so you can unlink treatment plan cases this one time, do the following:

On the message, click Yes.

In the Password - Treatment Plan, Edit dialog box, the overriding user enters his or her credentials in the User ID and Password boxes and then clicks OK.

The Linked Cases dialog box appears.

From the Recommended Case list, select the correct case.

Click OK.

The link icon after the case becomes starred . The starred link icon after the prior recommended case becomes a normal link icon.
