Add-ons

The following products and packages are available as add-ons or integrated technologies for Dentrix Enterprise:

Meaningful Use - With the Meaningful Use feature (sold separately), you can use Dentrix Enterprise as a certified electronic health record for Meaningful Use.

Axia credit card processing - With the integration of Dentrix Enterprise with AxiaMed, you can process credit card payments and refunds from within Ledger using the AxiaMed credit card processing service and a card reader (each sold separately).

Dentrix Enterprise Pay - With Dentrix Enterprise Pay (sold separately), you can process credit card payments in Dentrix Enterprise. Worldpay is the third-party provider of the credit card transaction service, so you must purchase Worldpay merchant accounts. You must also purchase compatible credit card readers.

eClaims - With eClaims (sold separately), you can send electronic insurance claims. The cost of sending claims electronically is significantly lower than the cost of sending paper claims because of the savings on labor, materials, and postage. If your claim cannot be sent to the payor electronically, it will be printed to paper and mailed within 24 hours. Claims sent through eClaims go directly into the insurance company's computer, which helps dental offices receive payment in a more timely manner.

QuickBill (legacy version) - With QuickBill (sold separately), you can generate billing statements without having to print a page, stuff an envelope, or lick a stamp. Instead, QuickBill sends statements to a clearinghouse where they are professionally printed, folded, and mailed.

Dentrix Enterprise Patient Payments - Dentrix Enterprise Patient Payments (sold separately), which replaces QuickBill, can help cut down on the cost and hassle of your monthly billing. Using Patient Payments, you can create bills as you have always done with Dentrix Enterprise. However, instead of printing, folding, licking, and stamping hundreds of bills, you transmit your bills to Henry Schein One, and we can deliver them for you using one of the following methods: mail, email, or text message. In order to accept online payments, a Worldpay merchant account is required.

ERAs - With the ERA features (sold separately), a service automatically receives electronic explanation of benefit statements (eEOBs) as an Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA) for an electronic claim that you submit. Dentrix Enterprise can receive and parse ERA files from insurance payers automatically. This saves time and reduces mistakes compared to the manual downloading and importing of ERA files. However, you can manually import ERAs (in the 835 X12 4010 standard format) as needed. You must be sending claims using eTrans (eClaims). You can set up a data service to use any existing eTrans accounts or Data Services accounts (each sold separately) and link each account to specific clinics. Also, you must enroll for ERAs with payors. Also, you can manage all ERAs from a central location. Automated ERAs and electronic funds transfers (EFTs), which are available separately from some individual carriers, helps streamline the collection process, so you get paid faster and easier.

ePrescribe - With ePrescribe (sold separately), you can send and manage electronic prescriptions online. AllScripts is the third-party provider of the ePrescribe service.

Patient Portal - With Patient Portal (sold separately), you can send messages and patient records to a patient's online portal if you have purchased a subscription for this feature. Updox is the third-party provider of the Patient Portal service.

Outcome - With the Outcome feature (sold separately), you can assess possible oral health outcomes, such as the risk of caries, for a patient based on particular diseases, conditions, and/or exposures that pertain to the patient. Quintiles is the third-party provider of the Outcome service.

Automated insurance eligibility verification - With the automated insurance eligibility verification feature (sold separately), a service automatically verifies patients' insurance eligibilities for their upcoming appointments. You must set up the eligibility service to use any existing eTrans (eClaims) accounts (each sold separately) that you may have or to use Data Services accounts (each sold separately), and you can link each account to specific clinics. Also, you must enroll in the automated eligibility verification service, and there is a per-verification charge to use the service.
