Managing scheduled report jobs

Once reports have been scheduled, you can view, edit, or delete them in the Manage Scheduled Jobs dialog box.

Note: For scheduled reports to be generated, the database server must be turned on, the report scheduling service must be installed and running on the report server, and the report server settings must be configured on the computers from which you want to schedule report jobs (these computers may be client computers and/or the report server).

To manage scheduled jobs

In DXOne Reporting, on the Scheduling menu, click Manage Scheduled Jobs.

The Manage Scheduled Jobs dialog box appears.

Note: For each report job in the list, the following information appears: the report name, recurrence pattern, interval (daily, weekly, and so forth), next generation date and time, and end date and time. With a report job selected, the email recipient's address appears in the list on the right.

Select or clear the following checkboxes as needed:

List Jobs for all users:

With this checkbox selected, the dialog box lists the reports that have been scheduled by any user. Also, the UserId column appears. For each report job, the ID of the user that created it appears in this column.

With this checkbox clear, the dialog box lists only the reports that have been scheduled by you (the user that is currently logged in).

Note: The List Jobs for all users check box is available only if your user account has been granted the "Scheduled Jobs - Manage All Users" security right for reports.

List Job Names:

With this checkbox selected, the Job Name column appears. For each report job, if a name was entered for that job when it was created, that name appears in this column.

With this checkbox clear, report job names do not appear.

Note: When the Manage Scheduled Jobs dialog box is closed, the state of these checkboxes is saved for the next time the dialog box is opened.

Perform any of the following tasks:

To edit a scheduled report, do the following:

Do one of the following:

Double-click the report job.

Select the report job, and then click Edit Job.

The corresponding report options dialog box appears.

Edit the report's options as needed.

Do one of the following:

To save the changes, click OK.

To edit the job name and/or job options, click Schedule. After making changes in the Schedule Report dialog box, click Schedule to save all the changes.

To delete a scheduled report, do the following:

Select the report job.

Click Delete Job.

On the confirmation message that appears, click Yes.

Click Close.
