Quickly viewing or editing details about a watched tooth

In a patient's clinical chart, you can quickly view or edit notes and surfaces for a tooth with a charted "watch tooth" condition (SNODENT code 179235D).

To quickly view or edit details about a watched tooth

  1. How to get there

    1. If the correct patient is not already selected, use the Patient Search box to access the patient's record.

      Note: You can include inactive patients in the search results by setting the Include inactive patients switch to On.

    2. On the Patient menu, under Clinical, click (or tap) Chart.

      The patient's clinical record opens with the Chart tab selected.

    On the Chart tab of a patient's clinical record, click (or tap) a tooth's W icon.

    Note: The appearance of the W icon may vary:

    • If notes have not been entered for the condition, the icon is a black W.

    • If notes have been entered for the condition, the icon is a black W with a flag.

    A pop-up box appears.

    If notes have not been entered for the condition.

    If notes have been entered for the condition.

    Note: If multiple "watch tooth" conditions have been charted for the tooth, only the details of the most recent one appear.

  2. To edit the condition (notes, surfaces, and other details), click (or tap) the surfaces diagram or the Edit link. The Edit Condition dialog box appears. Make the necessary changes, and then click (or tap) Save.
