Inactivating operatories

You can inactivate operatories, which correspond to columns on your schedule, if those operatories do not have any future appointments scheduled in them. An inactive operatory does not show on the schedule and is unavailable as a view option for the schedule.

To inactivate an operatory

  1. If you are not already viewing the correct location, select it on the Location menu.

  2. On the Settings menu, under Location, click (or tap) Operatories.

    The Operatories page opens.

  3. Under Active Operatories, select an operatory.

The options for editing the operatory become available.

Tip: If this operatory has appointments scheduled in it, a message in a yellow box appears. To view a list of those appointments and any events that may also be scheduled in the operatory, click (or tap) the yellow box.

  4. Under Status, clear the Active checkbox.

    Notes:

    • This option is available only if there are no future appointments scheduled in this operatory.

    • If this operatory is associated with any events, the operatory will be removed from each of those events, and if any of those events are left without an associated operatory, those events will become "Practice Events" on the schedule.

    • The dash (-) is selected for Display Order automatically. The active operatories' display orders will update automatically as needed.

  5. Click (or tap) Save.
