Configuring calendar warning messages for a location

For each location, you can specify if you want warning messages to appear when someone schedules appointments outside of operatory availability, location hours, and provider availability in each location. Also, you can specify if you want double-booking warning messages to appear when someone schedules appointments where assigned provider times overlap.

Note: For information about how this view setting and certain location settings affect the displaying of warning messages, see the topic about calendar warning messages.

To configure a location's calendar settings

  1. If you are not already viewing the correct location, select it on the Location menu.

  2. On the Settings menu, under Location, click (or tap) Location Information.

    The Location Information page opens.

  3. Under Calendar Settings, set up the following options:

    • Warn when scheduling outside of operatory availability, location hours, and provider availability:

      • To allow warning messages, set the switch set to Yes.

      • To suppress warning messages, set the switch set to No.

    • For Provider availability, only warn when the provider time (X's) pattern overlap (which is available only if warning messages are allowed):

      • To have double-booking warning messages appear only if assigned provider times overlap, set the switch set to Yes.

      • To have double-booking warning messages appear if any time appointments with the same provider overlap regardless of the assigned provider times, set the switch set to No.

Note: Even with both of these settings turned on for the location, on a computer (device), you can suppress warning messages regarding provider availability and the double-booking of providers by setting the Warn when double-booking switch to Off for the calendar view.

  4. Click (or tap) Save.
