Changing the display order of operatories

You can customize the order in which operatories (columns where you can schedule appointments and events) appear on the schedule from left to right.

Note: Operatories are location specific (each location of your organization has its own operatories).

To quickly change the display order of operatories by dragging them

  1. If you are not already viewing the correct location, select it on the Location menu.

  2. On the Settings menu, under Location, click (or tap) Operatories.

    The Operatories page opens.

    Notes:

    • The page is divided into two sections: Active Operatories and Inactive Operatories. You can collapse and expand these sections as needed.

    • If the order of the operatories has not been customized previously, when you initially access this page, the Display order column is blank for all operatories, and the displayed order of the Active Operatories from top to bottom is the displayed order on the Calendar page from left to right. However, once you edit an operatory or change the order, the applicable numbers appear in the Display order column for the Active Operatories, and dashes appear in the Display order column for the Inactive Operatories.

  3. Under Active Operatories, drag an operatory by the handle to the preferred position in the list.

Note: The change is saved automatically, and the other operatories' display orders update automatically as needed.

  4. For each additional operatory that you want to move, drag it by the handle to the preferred position in the list.

To change the display order of an operatory by editing it

  1. On the Operatories page, select an operatory under Active Operatories.

The options for editing the operatory become available.

  2. If necessary, change the name and description.

Change any of the following options:

    • Name - A unique name for the operatory (up to 10 characters in length). This name will appear at the top of the corresponding column on the schedule.

    • Description - A unique description for the operatory (up to 25 characters in length).

  3. From the Display Order list, select the number of the preferred position for this operatory in the display order.

Note: The other operatories' display orders will update automatically as needed.

  4. Click (or tap) Save.

The active operatories will appear from left to right on the Calendar page according to the specified Display order.
