The eDex toolbars

In the eDex and Dentrix toolbars you can set filters; maintain your contacts list; enable or disable the lock down feature; and open the Family File, Ledger, Appointment Book, Patient Chart, and Document Center modules.

Button	Name	Description
	Set Filters	Click to set filters to search eDex.
	New Contact	Click to add a new contact to eDex.
	Edit Contact Categories	Click to edit eDex categories.
	Less Information	Click to close the details pane of the eDex window.
	More Information	Click to open the details pane of the eDex window.
	Refresh	Click to refresh the eDex window after you have made changes
	eDex Settings	Click to disable or enable the lock down feature in eDex. You can also set the number of minutes to elapse before lock down occurs.
	Help	Click to view the eDex Help.

The Dentrix toolbar

You can open some of Dentrix's modules from the Dentrix toolbar in the eDex window.

Button	Name	Description
	Family File	Click to open the Family File.
	Ledger	Click to open the Ledger.
	Appointment Book	Click to open the Appointment Book.
	Patient Chart	Click to open the Patient Chart.
	Document Center	Click to open the Document Center.

The eDex Notes toolbar

You can use the eDex Notes toolbar to format the text of an eDex note.

Button	Name	Description
	Select font type	Click to select a font type from the list.
	Select font size	Click to select a font size from the list.
	Bold	Click to make selected text bold.
	Italics	Click to make selected text appear in italics.
	Underline	Click to underline selected text.
	Left align text	Click to align text with the left margin.
	Right align text	Click to align text with the right margin.
	Center text	Click to center text.
	Full justify text	Click to fully justify the text (no ragged left or right margins).
	Bullet list	Click to create a bulleted list.
	Number list	Click to create a numbered list.
