What warrants a review to be removed?

Reviews are a key part of your online reputation. We understand that and want to make sure you have control over that reputation. There are four major categories of reviews that violate the Patient Engage policy regarding reviews and warrant removal from public view:

·        Abusive reviews – An abusive review or comment is one that makes personal attacks, threatens, or harasses others. This also includes reviews that contain profanity.

·        Violate privacy – This includes reviews that mention full names of non-public individuals, post personal information in the review, or comments that are inappropriate and/or unrelated to the service experience.

·        Are not a current patient – A current patient is one who has visited your practice or received services within the last 12 months.

·        Contain material falsehoods or inaccuracies – Reviews that contain objective facts may be removed as long as there is independent verification proving the fact to be materially inaccurate or false.

What constitutes independent verification?

Independent verification includes any materials that prove a statement in your review to be materially inaccurate or false. This could include:

·        A receipt

·        A treatment plan

·        A copy of your appointment book for the day

·        An email from the customer

Basically, independent verification is any documentation that would prove the review to be inaccurate or false. Keep in mind that you can only provide evidence for facts; opinions cannot be disproven.

Why do I have to send extra evidence for independent verification?

Our review policy is in place for you. We are constantly working to get your reviews synced to more and more sites across the web to help you grow your online reputation.

In order to send your reviews to sites such as Google, the CityGrid network, and many more to come, we have to uphold the integrity of our reviews. Because of this, there are instances where a negative review will not qualify for removal through our policy. When this happens, don’t fret! Studies have shown that consumers value a negative review with a great response much higher than a site with only positive 100% ratings.
