Setting up ePrescribe
With a paid subscription to use the ePrescribe add-on, and if this feature has been enabled in the system/demo mode setup in EndoVision, any user in any of your locations can send prescriptions electronically to pharmacies and manage those prescriptions. This online service is provided by a third-party company called AllScripts.
When setting up practice locations and users to use ePrescribe, you can choose from the locations, providers, and staff entered in EndoVision. You can enable and disable access to ePrescribe for any location (and corresponding users) or any user at any time.
Since ePrescribe uses the information as it is entered in EndoVision, if you are setting up a location, provider, or staff member to use ePrescribe, and there is missing or invalid information that is required, you must make the corrections to the location, provider, or staff member's information in the appropriate area of EndoVision before you can set up ePrescribe for that location, provider, or staff member.
Also, for administrative purposes, each practice location that needs to have access to ePrescribe must be assigned to a group. Each group can have one main location and any number of satellite locations (members). Additionally, the first ePrescribe user to register him or herself with any location in a group enabled for ePrescribe must be a provider, be a person designated by your practice to be an administrator for ePrescribe, and complete an online form through AllScripts (the third-part provider of the ePrescribe service) during that user's registration process.
Tips:
· To purchase ePrescribe licenses for each provider, contact Sales by calling 800-680-6902. Only credentialed providers, not staff or uncredentialed providers (such as hygienists), need licenses.
