Treatment Plans tab

You can manage a patient's treatment plans and pre-authorizations on the Treatment Plans tab of Patient Information Center.

You can use the Tx Plan tabs on the left to create, edit, and view up to 10 different treatment plans.

 

The Treatment Plans tab consists of the following sections:

·        Top section - This section provides the following options:

·         Add - Click this button to add a new treatment plan to the selected treatment plan tab.

·         Edit - Click this button to edit the selected treatment plan.

·         Delete - Click this button to edit the selected treatment plan.

·         Post - Click this button to post the selected treatment plan to the Ledger.

·         Schedule - Click this button to schedule the selected treatment plan in the Appointment Book.

·         Print - Click this button to print the selected treatment plan.

·         Filter - Click this button to filter which treatment plans appear in the list: Planned, In Progress, Suspended, Complete, Future, and User Defined.

·        Pre-Authorization - Click this button to add or update pre-authorization information regarding the treatment plan (such as when it was submitted, its status, when it was returned, when it was approved/rejected, the procedure code, the pre-authorization #, and when the pre-authorization expires).

Tip: If you select all the procedure lines of the treatment plan where you want to update pre-authorization information before clicking the Pre-Authorization link, you can update all those procedure lines at once instead of updating them one at a time.

·        Treatment Complete - Select this check box if all treatment has been completed for the patient. A yellow box will appear next to the patient name in the Patient Lookup dialog box.

·        Doctor - The provider assigned to the patient is displayed in this field. You can double-click the field to open the Providers dialog box, from which you can select and paste in a provider. Any change made to this field is also reflected in the Dr. field in the blue section on the General tab and vice versa.

·        Hide Notes - Select this option to hide any treatment plan notes from view; clear this option to display them.

·        Treatment Plan section - This section displays any existing treatment-planned procedures. A patient can have up to 10 treatment plans: 0 - 9. Treatment plan 0 is the plan agreed to by the patient and is the only plan that can coordinate with the Appointment Book. Treatment plans 1 through 9 are used only for presenting alternative options to the patient.

Note: Selecting the Units by Staff check box in the Appointment Book preferences displays a Scheduled service column and button on the tab. You can click the Change button to select specific appointment services when scheduling.
