Entering quick notes
You can attach customizable notes to a patient's record as needed.
To enter a quick note
On the Medical History/Allergies/Alerts panel of a patient's Patient Information Center, in the Quick Notes section, do any of the following:
· In the Quick Notes field, type any notes that you want to have available at all times from a patient's Patient Information Center.
Tip: If you want to change or add to the text, click any word in the field to highlight it, and then press the arrow keys on your keyboard to move the text cursor to the desired position.
· Click
Open to open
the User Codes window, and then select and paste in a quick
note user code.
From the User Codes window, do any of the following:
· To add a code, click New, type a Code and Comments, and then click OK.
· To edit an existing code, select a code, click Edit, change the Code and Comments as needed, and then click OK.
· To delete a code, select a code, and then click Delete. On the confirmation message that appears, click Yes. This does not affect patients who have the deleted code attached to their records, but the code is no longer available for selection for any patient.
