Adding templates
Before you can set up a template, you must create the treatment categories that will be added to the template. In order to add templates, you must be logged in as an administrator.
Tip: You may want to set up a unique template for each workstation, or area in your practice, that routinely uses unique shortcuts or posts specific types of treatment. However, even though you can create multiple templates, it will probably be easier to have only one. In your template, you can have multiple categories and multiple shortcuts within each category.
To add a custom template
1. From the hard tissue chart, on the Task pane, click Add.
The Add New Items section appears.
Note: The first time you click Add on a computer, a message appears and asks you to verify whether you want to load the default template. Click Yes if you want to load the default template (and associated shortcuts).
2. Click the Add New Items down arrow, point to Templates, and then click Manage.
The Template List dialog box appears.
3. Click New.
The Template Editor dialog box appears.
4. Type a Template Name.
5. From the Categories button menu, point to Insert, and then click one of the categories created previously that you want to use for the template. Repeat this step for each category you want to add to the template.
6. Drag a shortcut from the Shortcut list to the desired category in the Category list to add the shortcut to that category. Repeat this step for each shortcut you want to add to a category.
7. Click OK.
