Setting up insurance profile preferences

You can set up insurance profile preferences.

To set up insurance profile preferences

1.   From the Report menu, point to Insurance, and then click Canadian Claims.

The Canadian Claims window appears.

2.   On the Control Panel, under Setup, click the Insurance Profiles link.

The Insurance Profiles tab appears.

3.   Select a profile, and then click the Open button .

Tips:

·        To select multiple profiles (to view their settings on separate tabs), while holding down the Ctrl key, click each profile that you want to select. Alternately, to select all profiles in a range, click a profile, and then, while holding down the Shift key, click another profile.

·        To search for a profile, select a Search By option, and then begin typing the text that you want to search For. The first profile that matches your search criteria is selected automatically. Click the Previous or Next button  to select the previous or next profile that matches (if any), respectively.

An Insurance Profile - "[Profile Name]" tab appears.

4.   Set up the following options:

·        Is CDANet - Select Yes for CDANet or No for iTrans (the rest of the options will become unavailable).

·        Carrier No. - Select a carrier.

·        Encryption - Select the type of encryption to use for electronic transmissions: No Encryption, CDANet Standard #1, or CDANet Standard #2.

·        Plan Flag - Select a plan. To clear any previous selection, with an option selected, click the Clear button .

·        Division Number - Type the division number. This field has a limit of 10 characters.

·        Band # - Type the band number.

·        Family # - Type the family number.

5.   Click the Save button .
