Comparing perio exams

To help educate your patients regarding periodontal disease progression, you can compare up to four previous perio exams with the current exam.

To compare perio exams

1.   In the Perio Chart toolbar, click Options, and then click Exam Comparison.

The Perio Comparative Selections dialog box appears.

 

2.   Under Compare, select the type of comparison that you want.

·        Probing Depths – To compare probing depth measurements.

·        Gingival Margin – To compare gingival margin measurements.

·        Clinical Attachment Level – To compare clinical attachment levels.

·        Mobility – To compare mobility measurements.

·        Furcation Involvement – To compare furcation grades.

3.   Under Select Comparison Exam, select the exam that you want to compare the current exam to.

Note: All previous exams appear in the list. You can select up to four exams to compare.

4.   To activate your choices, click OK.

A comparison chart appears with a legend to explain the symbols.
