You can add alerts for medical problems (conditions), medications/prescriptions, allergies, and implantable devices to a patient's record.
Note: Assigning medical alerts to patients requires the "Medical Alerts, Edit" security right.
To assign a medical alert to a patient
In the Medical Alerts dialog box, click the New Medical Alert(s) button 
, and then click one of the following options on the menu:
Problem - To assign a problem.
Medication - To assign a medication.
Allergy - To assign an allergy.
Implantable device - To assign an implantable device.
