Collections Manager is an independent module; even though you can open it from another module, it can remain open independent of other modules.
Note: Accessing Collections Manager requires the "Reports" and "Collection Manager, Open" security rights.
To open Collections Manager
Do one of the following:
In Ledger or Office Manager, click the Collections Manager buttonĀ on the toolbar.
In Ledger, on the File menu, point to Switch To, and then click Collections Manager.
In Office Manager, on the Analysis menu, click Collections Manager.
Note: The button and menu option in Office Manager are available only if your user account has been granted the "Reports" security right for Office Manager.
If applicable, do one of the following:
If the Password - Collection Manager, Open dialog box appears, user verification has been assigned to the "Collection Manager, Open" task. Do one of the following:
If your user account has been granted the "Collection Manager, Open" security right, enter your credentials in the User ID and Password boxes, and then click OK.
If your user account has not been granted the "Collection Manager, Open" security right, have a user with permission temporarily override this restriction so you can open Collections Manager this one time. The overriding user enters his or her credentials in the User ID and Password boxes and then clicks OK.
If a message appears, informing you that you do not have rights to this operation, your user account has not been granted the "Collection Manager, Open" security right. To have a user with permission temporarily override this restriction so you can open Collections Manager this one time, do the following:
On the message, click Yes.
In the Password - Collection Manager, Open dialog box, the overriding user enters his or her credentials in the User ID and Password boxes and then clicks OK.
If you do not have a view set up for Collections Manager, the Collections Manager View dialog box appears. Set up a view.
Collections Manager opens and loads the list of accounts according to the view that you have set up.
Note: If the list does not include accounts that you expect to see, you have probably set up a filter for your view that has caused those accounts to be excluded. Re-check your view settings to make sure that the view is filtering for only the most essential criteria.
