Collections Manager toolbar

The toolbar contains several buttons that you can click to make working in Collections Manager more convenient.

The function of each button on the toolbar is explained in the following table.

Description

Patient Chart

Click to enter or manage a patient's clinical information. If a guarantor is selected in Collections Manager, that guarantor is the selected patient in Chart when it opens.

Family File

Click to enter or manage a patient's demographic, contact, or insurance information. If a guarantor is selected in Collections Manager, that guarantor is the selected patient in Family File when it opens.

Ledger

Click to enter or manage a patient's financial transactions. If a guarantor is selected in Collections Manager, that guarantor is the selected patient in Ledger when it opens.

Appointments

Click to schedule appointments and perform appointment-related tasks. When Appointment Book opens, it displays today's date and uses the default view.

Office Manager

Click to view or generate reports, perform maintenance, or configure settings.

Quick Letters

Click to open the Quick Letters dialog box to create a letter by merging information that is specific to the guarantor who is selected in Collections Manager into a document template.

Note:This button is available only if a guarantor is selected.

Send Message

Click to open your email program (such as Microsoft Outlook®) to compose and send an email message. If a guarantor is selected in Collections Manager, that guarantor's email address, if one has been entered in Family File, populates the To box of the email message automatically. If a guarantor is not selected, or if the selected guarantor does not have an email address entered in Family File, the To box of the email message is blank.

Continuing Care

Click to track and manage the on-going dental care of the guarantor who is selected in Collections Manager.

Note: This button is available only if a guarantor is selected.


Patient Questionnaire

Click to print out medical history or other forms for the guarantor who is selected in Collections Manager to complete. If the guarantor has questionnaires, the button has a red check mark. If the guarantor does not have questionnaires, there is not a red check mark.

Prescriptions

Click to write, manage, or print prescriptions for the guarantor who is selected in Collections Manager. If the guarantor has prescriptions, the button has a red Rx. If the guarantor does not have prescriptions, there is not a red Rx.

Office Journal

Click to enter or manage communications with the guarantor who is selected in Collections Manager.

Note: This button is available only if a guarantor is selected.

Document Center

Click to attach or manage important documents, pictures, and letters. To attach or manage documents for a guarantor, have a guarantor selected in Collections Manager when you open Document Center, and that guarantor will be the selected patient in Document Center when it opens. To attach or manage documents for a provider or staff member, do not have a guarantor selected when you open Document Center, and then select the correct provider or staff member when Document Center prompts you to do so.


Patient Alerts

Click to enter or manage alerts of the guarantor who is selected in Collections Manager. If the selected guarantor does not have any patient alerts, the Create Patient Alert dialog box appears; otherwise, the Patient Alert dialog box appears. If the guarantor has alerts, the flag on the button is yellow. If the guarantor does not have alerts, the flag is gray.

Note: This button is available only if a guarantor is selected.

Patient Finances

Click to open the Patient Finances window to view and add payment plans and change the billing type for the account of the guarantor who is selected in Collections Manager.

Note: This button is available only if a guarantor is selected.

Guarantor Notes

Click to enter account notes and/or billing statement notes for the account of the guarantor who is selected in Collections Manager.

Note: This button is available only if a guarantor is selected.

Copy

Click to copy the account information for all the guarantors who are listed in Collections Manager to the Windows Clipboard.

Print

Click to print the account information for all the guarantors who are listed in Collections Manager.

Log Off

Click to close all open independent and dependent windows.
