You can delete events as needed. You can delete a single event, an event that is part of a series, or an entire series.
Note: Deleting events requires the "Appointment Events, Delete" security right.
To delete an event
In Appointment Book, do one of the following:
To view the details of an event before you delete it, do one of the following:
Right-click the event, and then click Edit Event.
Double-click the event.
To delete the event without viewing it first, right-click the event, and then click Delete Event. Skip to step 4.
If you are attempting to view the details of the event before you delete it, do one of the following if applicable:
If the Password - Appointment Events, Edit dialog box appears, user verification has been assigned to the "Appointment Events, Edit" task. Do one of the following:
If your user account has been granted the "Appointment Events, Edit" security right, enter your credentials in the User ID and Password boxes, and then click OK.
If your user account has not been granted the "Appointment Events, Edit" security right, have a user with permission temporarily override this restriction so you can view the event this one time. The overriding user enters his or her credentials in the User ID and Password boxes and then clicks OK.
If a message appears, informing you that you do not have rights to this operation, your user account has not been granted the "Appointment Events, Edit" security right. To have a user with permission temporarily override this restriction so you can view the event this one time, do the following:
On the message, click Yes.
In the Password - Appointment Events, Edit dialog box, the overriding user enters his or her credentials in the User ID and Password boxes and then clicks OK.
The Edit Event dialog box appears.
Click Delete.
If applicable, do one of the following:
If the Password - Appointment Events, Delete dialog box appears, user verification has been assigned to the "Appointment Events, Delete" task. Do one of the following:
If your user account has been granted the "Appointment Events, Delete" security right, enter your credentials in the User ID and Password boxes, and then click OK.

For an individual event, a confirmation message appears. Click Yes.
If the event is part of a series, the Delete Event dialog box appears. Select whether you want to Delete this occurrence in the series or Delete the series, and then click OK.
