Perio Chart - The Perio Chart toolbars

The Perio Chart includes four different toolbars to provide easy access to most of the Perio Chart tools:

Note: You can customize the Perio Chart toolbars to fit the needs of each user.

Perio toolbar

Icon	Name	Description
	New Exam	Opens the New Exam dialog box where you can create new exams.
	Open Exam	Opens the Open Exam dialog box where you can open existing exams.
	Save Exam	Saves the current Perio exam.
	Print Exam	Opens the Print Perio Exam dialog box where you can print exams.
	Delete Exam	Opens the Delete Exam dialog box where you can delete exams.
	Undo	Click to undo the last data entries to an exam. You can undo multiple entries or changes. (When you can undo a change, the icon changes to blue; otherwise, the icon is gray.)
	Redo	Click to redo the last data entries to an exam. You can redo multiple entries or changes. (When you can redo a change, the icon changes to purple; otherwise, the icon is gray.)

Graphic Chart

Opens the Perio Graphic Chart.

Exam Comparison

Opens the Select Exams dialog box.

Note: After you select the exams you want to compare, the Exam Comparison dialog box appears, where you can compare and view up to five previous exams.

Script Selection toolbar

By default, the Script toolbar contains the Perio Navigation Script list. You must select a navigation script before you can enter the measurements you take during a periodontal exam.

To select a navigation script

From the Script list, select the navigation script that you want to use to enter measurements.

The pre-defined navigation scripts you can choose from include:

· Dentrix Default Script

· Dentrix Clinical Attachment Level

· Dentrix Gingival Margin

· Dentrix Mucogingival Junction

· Dentrix Probing Depths

Note: You can also create custom scripts. See Adding navigation scripts for more information.

Patient Information toolbar

Icon	Name	Description
	Select Patient	Opens the Select Patient dialog box where you can select a patient.
	Health History	Opens the Health History window from which you can record a selected patient's medical conditions and allergies.
	Patient Alerts	Opens the Patient Alerts dialog box where you can add, edit, or delete patient alerts.
	Patient Picture	Opens the Patient Picture dialog box where you can add, edit, or delete a picture of the patient.
	Patient Referral	Opens the Patient Referral dialog box where you can add a referred by or referred to source or edit existing referrals.
	More Information	Opens the More Information dialog box where you can view personal information about the patient, including any scheduled appointments or continuing care attached to the patient.
