Providing patients with a number for text messages

Each location in your organization has a unique phone number associated with it for text messages. You can provide that number to patients, so they can initiate a text message conversation with your office. This is useful in cases where the patient has never received or has deleted text messages from your office, so there is no text message that the patient can reply to if he or she needs to contact your office.

Important:

  • This phone number is location specific. You may want to provide a patient with only the phone number for his or her preferred location, as specified in the patient's record.

  • This phone number is for text messaging only. Voice calls are not allowed.
