To filter the progress notes
How to get there
-
If the correct patient is not already selected, use the Patient Search box to access the patient's record.
Note: You can include inactive patients in the search results by setting the Include inactive patients switch to On.
-
On the Patient menu, under Clinical, click (or tap) Progress Notes.
The patient's clinical record opens with the Progress Notes tab selected.
On the Progress Notes tab of a patient's clinical record, under Filters, set up any of the following options:
-
Procedures - Select which procedures you want to view:
-
Today's work - This option is selected by default when you access the progress notes if the patient has an appointment scheduled for today. With this option selected, only the treatment-planned procedures and/or other procedures that are attached to an appointment that is scheduled for the patient for today appear in the progress notes (according to the selected statuses).
-
All - This option is selected by default when you access the progress notes if the patient does not have an appointment scheduled for today. With this option selected, all procedures for the patient appear in the progress notes (according to the selected statuses).
-
Th - With this option selected, only the procedures that are associated with the selected teeth appear in the progress notes (according to the selected statuses).
Do one of the following:
-
If one or more teeth are selected on the Chart or Quick Exam tab when you access the Progress Notes tab, the tooth number or range, which is a link, appears. To select different teeth, click the link. On the Select Teeth pop-up box that appears, clear and/or select teeth as needed, and then click the X.
-
If no teeth are selected on the Chart or Quick Exam tab when you access the Progress Notes tab, a Select Teeth link appears. To select teeth, click the link. On the Select Teeth pop-up box that appears, select teeth as needed, and then click the X.
Note: Changing the selected teeth for the Th filter on the Progress Notes tab affects which teeth are selected on the Chart and Quick Exam tabs and for any new clinical note that you create.
