  • Dentrix Ascend supports 130+ carriers. To search for a payer and verify if eligibilities verifications are provided by that payer, use the payer search tool.


When does Dentrix Ascend perform automated eligibility verifications?

  • The automated process runs nightly, checking for appointments that are scheduled for the next specified number of business days.

  • The automated process runs immediately after someone schedules an appointment for today or the next specified number of business days.

Note: You can also perform an on-demand verification for a specific patient with an appointment. Additionally, you can specify the number of lead days per location to perform batch eligibility verifications a specified number of business days prior to appointments.


Can I change when the automated batch eligibility verifications occur?

  • No, the automated process runs nightly, but you can specify the number of lead days per location to perform batch eligibility verifications a specified number of business days prior to appointments.


Can I turn off automated batch eligibility verifications?

  • Yes, you can turn it off per location. With the automated process turned off, you can still perform on-demand verifications as needed.


How much detail does an eligibility response provide?

  • The amount of details varies by payer. For instance, Metlife, Aetna, and Cigna provide a lot of details; however, Medicaid provides only a Yes or No status.


How do I request a carrier be added to the supported list of payers who support eligibility verifications?

  • Yes, this is done automatically.

Can I request an eligibility status on demand?
