Requirements, Registration, and Enrollment
To receive and process ERAs, you must complete these tasks:
- Meet Dentrix software requirements,
- Register for ERAs with Henry Schein One (HS1),
- And enroll with insurance carriers to receive their ERAs.
The following briefly describes each task.
Requirements
The following are software requirements for Dentrix to process ERAs:
- Dentrix version G5.2 or higher,
- A subscription for eClaims,
- And the eSync plug-in for eEOBs (ERAs); however, for Dentrix G7.4.5 and higher, the eSync plug-in is not required.
Henry Schein One's eServices Support will make sure that you have everything you need for ERAs to function with Dentrix. You can contact them at 800.734.5561 (option 1).
Register for ERAs
Once you meet the software requirements, register for ERAs with HS1 by contacting a Dentrix Sales Team Associate at 800.734.5561 (option 2). A sales team associate will provide you with a link to enroll with insurance carriers at DentalXChange.
Enroll with Insurance Carriers
DentalXChange — powered by Zentist — is HS1's third-party clearinghouse for ERAs. To enroll with carriers to receive their ERAs, click Enroll in ERAs at the DentalXChange website and follow the prompts to enter your practice's information. Zentist will make applications to the carriers on your behalf and will guide you through the enrollment process. Then, once the process is complete, you should begin to receive ERAs from DentalXChange to your practice management software (PMS). Zentist will also grant you access to their Remit AI Portal, where you can review ERAs.

- To determine which of your carriers participate in ERA transmissions, visit the Payor Search – Dental Insurance website.
- You can begin registering for ERAs directly from the Batch Insurance Payment Entry window by selecting the Register for ERAs button.
