By default, the dentition for all new patients 10 years old and younger is set to primary. If you want, you can reset the age limit in the Office Manager, but for charting purposes, you can change a patient's dentition in the Graphic Chart to display all primary, all permanent, or mixed dentition.
To show mixed dentition
1. Select a patient.
2. If the patient you selected is 10 years old or younger, select the primary teeth in the Graphic Chart that you want to change to permanent.
3. Click Options, point to Primary/Permanent, and then click Change Selected.
The dentition for the selected teeth changes from primary to permanent.
