Accessing the Patient Portal or the New Patient Journey

Patient Engage features the Patient Portal, a place where existing patients can view their account information, send and receive secure messages with your office, and complete their forms.

New Patients, who do not yet have a Family File in Dentrix, can complete forms online using the New Patient Journey system.

Additional Information

• New patients cannot create a patient portal account because the verification process requires that their name and birthdate match an existing patient in Dentrix. This is why they use the New Patient Journey option instead.
