The most probable reason that your patient reviews are no longer showing up on Google is because Google’s automated algorithm flagged them as spam. Sometimes legitimate reviews are inappropriately removed because Google mistakenly flags and removes them.
Some reasons legitimate reviews may be mistakenly removed include the following:
· The review has prohibited or restricted content, including: a phone number, email address, or URL.
· The review appears to be a duplicate because an identical review appears elsewhere online or someone who already left you a Google review left you a second Google review.
· The review may appear to be left by one of your employees (it was left using your Wi-fi, on a device associated with your practice, or The Google account that left the review is associated with a Google account of your practice).
· You received too many Google reviews at the same time.
· Another Google user may have flagged the review as inappropriate.
If you notice that your Google reviews are disappearing, you can take the following steps:
· Identify why the reviews may have been removed.
· Become an expert on Google’s review policies and how Google recommends you do and do not ask for reviews in Google My Business Help: Get reviews on Google.
· Update the way you ask for reviews to ensure you comply with Google’s policies.
Can I have Google restore my Google Reviews that were taken down?
Unfortunately, not usually. Your next best step is to try to determine why your reviews were removed and ensure the way you are asking for reviews is not contributing.
I don’t think the Google review that was removed fits any of the criteria above. Is there any other reason it could have been removed?
Above are only some of the main reasons potentially legitimate reviews may be removed because of Google’s automated algorithm. You can read about other possibilities in Google’s Help Center Article: Prohibited and Restricted Content.
